Ceres (Lammas)
acrylic and soft pastel on Pastel Premiere paper
12x16 (framed to 16x20)

" I named this piece after the Roman goddess of grain and agriculture Ceres. I have drawn wheat in the background and she wears a crown of wheat. She also wears a necklace with the Rune for the Harvest known as Jera. Two sparrows on either side of her represent the two forces of nature that are also represented in the rune of Jera. They are the yin and yang or active and passive forces that are always at play in the material world." - Tammy Mae Moon
